Quality assurance

Quality is the reason nearshoring succeeds or fails. Our methodology is built so that conformance is verified and documented, not assumed, because a buyer evaluating an unfamiliar supply base needs evidence, not assurances.

ISO 9001 as a baseline requirement

We require the manufacturers we place work with to operate a certified quality management system to ISO 9001. This is a floor, not a differentiator: it means the supplier has documented processes, traceability and corrective-action mechanisms in place before your part ever reaches their shop floor.

Defined acceptance criteria

Every order is quoted against explicit acceptance criteria derived from your drawing: critical dimensions and tolerances, surface and finish requirements, and any documentation you need (material certificates, conformity declarations). What “good” means is agreed before production, so inspection has an objective reference.

First-article inspection

Before a production run, the supplier produces a first article with a first-article inspection report (FAI) and dimensional records. You review and approve the first article. Catching a deviation on one part is inexpensive; catching it on a full batch is not.

Pre-shipment inspection

Before goods leave the factory, a pre-shipment inspection checks dimensions and workmanship against the agreed criteria. Non-conforming parts are addressed before they ship, not after they arrive at your dock.

Optional independent third-party inspection

For higher-stakes orders, or simply for additional confidence when working with a new supplier, you can add an independent third-party inspection. An external inspection body verifies conformance separately from the manufacturer, giving you an assurance layer that does not depend on the supplier’s own reporting.

Documentation you can audit

Inspection records, dimensional reports and origin documentation travel with the order. If your own quality system or your customer requires an audit trail, the paperwork is there to support it.

The goal is simple: when a shipment arrives, you already know it conforms, because it was checked at the points where problems are cheapest to fix.
