What eForgeo is

eForgeo is a manufacturing sourcing intermediary. We sit between EU buyers who want to nearshore production and the manufacturers in Serbia and the wider Balkans who can make their parts. We are not a marketplace and not a broker throwing quotes over a wall: we qualify suppliers, manage the order, assure quality and carry the contractual relationship, so that our clients get the benefit of Balkan manufacturing without having to build and police a supplier network themselves.

The problem we solve

A German, Austrian or Swiss manufacturer looking to nearshore faces a real dilemma. Asia offers scale but long lead times, high logistics risk and a tolerance for defects that engineering-led firms cannot accept. Local capacity is close but expensive and often full. The Balkans offer a middle path that is capable, cost-competitive and geographically close, but the buyer has to find the right shop, verify it, manage language and payment, and handle customs and origin. That overhead is exactly what stops otherwise sensible nearshoring from happening.

Why Serbia and the Balkans

• Proximity. Road freight from Serbia to Central Europe is measured in days, not weeks. Shorter transport means less inventory in transit, tighter feedback loops and lower exposure to global shipping disruption.
• Duty-free EU access. Under the Serbia-EU Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA), qualifying goods enter the EU duty-free, subject to proof of origin. Handled correctly, this is a structural cost advantage over Asian imports.
• A real engineering base. The region has a deep, long-standing tradition of metalworking and precision manufacturing, with a skilled workforce and shops already serving European customers.
• Cultural and time-zone alignment. Same working day, compatible business norms, and communication in English or German through eForgeo.

How we are positioned

We deliberately serve buyers for whom quality and accountability matter more than the lowest possible unit price: the procurement and technical teams at mid-size European manufacturers who are evaluating nearshoring carefully and cannot afford a bad first experience. That is why our process front-loads verification, documentation and a single point of accountability.
